Rosie has worked in commercial kitchens and in the catering business for a decade, while helping people lead healthier lives through nutritional consulting backed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from UC Berkeley, a Master’s Degree in Holistic Nutrition from Hawthorn University, and her own personal experience of overcoming health challenges. She is currently the Nutrition Program Director and a faculty member at Bauman College, Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts.
She approaches instruction in the culinary arts by teaching the science behind the basics to empower students with a deep understanding of cooking techniques. Students take these techniques to create dishes beyond recipes across a myriad of cuisines. The excitement of those ah-ha’s of delight is what drives her to share her knowledge widely.
From her nutritional background and science based teaching, she serves up a delicious celebration of the Bay Area’s bounty and one of the best health improvement plans money can’t buy.
